A 19th-Century lacquered-brass compound monocular chest microscope,
unsigned, similar to a Cuff-type, the barrel with threaded eyepiece cap and one objective, held on a short arm from two upright brass columns, moved vertically via a threaded sleeve, over the simple rectangular stage and plano-concave mirror, the main column hinged to fold into the mahogany case, with retaining pin -- 25.1cm. (9 7/8in.) wide
