A well engineered 5in. gauge model of the Southern Pacific Rail Road 4-6-0 locomotive and tender No.1871,
with brazed copper boiler with fittings including twin water gauges, pressure gauge, safety, blower, whistle, injector, clack, steam brake and other valves. Chassis details include twin outside cylinders with inside Stephenson's link reverse, mechanical lubricator, cab controlled draincocks, eccentric driven feed pump and bypass, steam operated brake gear, steam operated running board mounted water pump, with displacement lubricator, working sanding gear, whistle, headlamp, bell, cowcatcher and many other details. Tender details include twin four-wheel fully sprung bogies, hand operated brake gear, tool boxes, water cock, water tank filler filter, steps, ladder and hand irons, finished in 'silver', green and black with orange lining -- 43 x 157.5cm.
