A well engineered 5in. gauge model of the GNR Stirling locomotive and tender No. 1,
with brazed superheated copper boiler with fittings including water gauge (glass missing), pressure gauge, safety, blower, injector, steam brake, whistle, clack and blowdown valves (grate and ashpan missing). Chassis details include twin outside cylinders with inside Stephenson's link reverse, detailed big ends, cab controlled draincocks, mechanical lubricator, eccentric driven feedpump and bypass, injector, steam operated brake gear, pierced splashers, sanding boxes (one lever missing), oil boxes and pipes and other details. Tender details include hand feed pump, hand operated brake gear, riveting, steps, hand and lamp irons, finished in green with black lining and black --38 x 142.5cm. (15 x 56in.)
