(2¼in.) wide; an aluminium-cased sighting compass by Keuffel & Esser, New York, with mirrored lid, folding sights, bubble level and declination vernier -- 7cm. (2¾in.) wide; a brass-cased sighting compass stamped BARKER'S -- 5.1cm. (2in.) wide; and an A.M. ASTRO COMPASS MKII with twin sights with ivorine reflector on a vertical declination scale, atop a drum graduated around the side for latitude, held between two uprights with vertical latitude adjustment, over the graduated horizontal circle with protruding section housing twin bubble levels, over a two-screw tripod mount -- 21cm.
