A 19th-Century oxidised-brass surveying level,
signed Stanley, Great Turnstile Holborn Railway Terminus London Bridge, no.160 on one side of the 13-inch long telescope, engraved R.C. Miller on the other side, with ray-shade lens cap, twin bubble levels, cross-hair adjustment screws and rack and pinion focusing, mounted over the glazed compass with integrated floating needle and degree scale, clamp and magnifier, on a splayed tripod foot with three adjustable screw feet, with tripod mounting attachment, eyepiece extension tube, bubble mirror and tool in the fitted mahogany case with two brass hooks and eyes and a Stanley label, dated in manuscript Rich C. Miller Dublin 1872 -- 40.6cm. (16in.) wide
