A 20th-Century Homan's solar chronometer,
with brass maker's plaque on the base below the hemispherical body of the dial, a brass strip on copper mounting with a calendar scale inside, sliding against a fixed brass calendar adjustment scale for mean time, two vertical metal rods crossing the dial to create a thin sight, on a circular base -- 34.2cm. (13½in.) high
