"Machines de Theatre" volume only, extracted from the Encyclopédie, [Paris: late 18th-century]. 2° (388 x 260mm). 49 engraved plates by Benard after Radel, 40 folding. (Some light marginal spotting and browning, 2 upper margins lightly waterstained, small wormhole in blank gutter of most plates.) Later stiff marbled wrappers (backstrip chipped).
