NEWTON'S NEW AND IMPROVED CELESTIAL GLOBE On which all the Stars taken from the best Authorities are recalculated and accurately laid down. Manufactured by NEWTON & SON, CHANCERY LANE London. Published June.1844, made up of twelve delicately hand-coloured engraved gores laid to the celestial poles, with graduated equatorial, colures and ecliptic, the last with twilight zone, the pictorial constellations with stars to six orders of magnitude, some named (spotting and slight fading to detail throughout under new varnish), with an unengraved brass meridian half circle, raised on a turned wooden column and circular base -- 35.5cm. (14in.) high
