Lot Essay

Touchon & Cie. were active in Geneva in the first half of the 20th century and specialized in the manufacture of high quality watches. The company used to work closely with Wittnauer & Cie. and sold movements to Cartier, Audemars Piguet as well as North American companies, such as Tiffany.

The movement of the present watch was most certainly supplied to an American jeweler who designed this highly unusual case upon special request of a client.
