Cal. 19''', with nickel-finished Extra quality keyless lever movement numbered twice and stamped twice with the Geneva seal, 23 jewels, Guillaume balance, swan neck regulator, wolf's tooth winding, gold cuvette, the white enamel dial with Breguet numerals, blued steel moon-style hands, subsidiary seconds, in circular case with inlaid blue enamel initials to the reverse, case stamped by maker and retailer and with London import mark and date letter for 1928, cuvette, dial and movement signed by maker

Lot Essay

Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1921 and its subsequent sale on 24 January 1930. Furthermore delivered with original Observatoire de Genève Epreuves de 1ère Classe Bulletin de Marche dated 16 March 1927. Also delivered with the original envelope and compliment slip from The Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co. Ltd. used for the mailing of the Bulletin to Mr. J.E.P. Richards, Cheshire.

The present watch was prepared by the renowned adjuster François Modoux. The fact that the watch participated at the Geneva Observatory Timing Contest is also mentioned on the Extract from the Archives.

The Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co. Ltd., 112 Regent Street, London, one of the leading English manufacturers and retailers of fine watches, silver and jewelery. In 1952 the company merged with the renowned jeweler Garrard & Co.
