Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming the production of the present watch in 1962 and its subsequent sale on 28 November 1962. To the best of our knowledge this watch has never been offered at auction before. It is also one of only four examples of reference 3428 in pink gold known to have appeared in public.

Reference 3428, introduced in 1960, is the successor of Patek Philippe's first model featuring a self-winding movement, reference 2526 (see lots 50 and 279 in this sale). Whereas reference 2526 is fitted with the celebrated caliber 12'''600, reference 3428 is equipped with the second generation self-winding movement, caliber 27-460.
