Lot Essay

The Nieuwe Kerk in Delft contains the mausoleum of Orange-Nassau, the Dutch Royal family.

Leon Senf was active at De Porceleyne Fles from 1878 until 1930. He became head of the painting department in 1884. He did not only produce work inspired by other painters, but also created his own designs. See M. Bogaers a.o., De Porceleyne Fles, Utrecht, 1986, p. 251.
