The semi-opaque material of pale celadon colour with patches of brown "skin", carved and pierced as a pair of mandarin ducks amidst lotus blossom and foliage, with a stalk of wheat sheaf, representing the rebus "bai nian hao he" or "May you have a happy marriage", the reverse carved and pierced as a Chinese character "shuang xi" or "double happiness", to the bead surmount and brown silk cord, 4.7 cm high
