The square onyx top above a combined Ionic and Corinthian capital, the cylindrical column painted with oval bust-length portraits of beauties including: 'Ruth' and 'Königin Louisa' to one side, 'Ivy' and 'Daphne' to the other, within tooled gilt and berried cartouches on ivory panels, the cobalt blue ground richly-gilt with pink enamelled 'jewelled' palmettes and continuous scrolling foliage, above a berried laurel socle and stepped square plinth decorated with gilt quatrefoil panels of animals and 'jewelled' fruiting vines
