The tray modelled after a Sèvres 'Plateau Losange à Jours à Anses', painted with a garland of flowers, the everted sides moulded and gilt with zig-zagged turquoise batons enclosing trefoils and forming handles at each end, applied with two pommade-pots and covers, one with a liner, flanking a quatrefoil box and cover, gilt with a double D monogram within stave-work and set over a conforming ring

See The Pompey Collection, Christie's, New York, 23 May 2002, lot 140 a Mintons example of this form dated 1880. Also see lot 57 of the same sale for an example of this form made at Sèvres and dated 1771.
