This clock is based upon the model enititled "L'Etude" executed for the Duc de Praslin, secrétaire d'Etat à la Marine. The case by Robert Osmonde and the movement by Martin.

The case by Monbro Fils Aîné, The movement by Jacquier, Third quarter 19th Century
Modelled with a reclining figure of Urania, leaning against a plinth surmounted by a pine cone and acanthus, the blue and white enamel dial garlanded with laurel and tied drapery and signed MONBRO FILS AINE/JACQUIER HER, with twin-train movement, on a rectangular base inset to the front and sides with scrolling acanthus, on toupie feet
