A large Empire style ormolu-mounted mahogany vitrine cabinet
Second half 19th Century
The superstructure with rectangular breakfronted top and moulded cornice above a conforming frieze mounted with a musical symbol and a tazza flanked by griffins, the prodruding corners with lyres, the case fitted with a pair of glazed doors opening to a shelf, flanked on each side by a Classical female bust-headed tapering pilaster, the lower section with conforming verde antico marble top above a pair of frieze drawers and two cupboard doors applied with a wreath encircling a lyre, opening to an adjustable shelf, flanked on either side by a muscial trophy above a further anthropomorphic pilaster, on a conforming plinth base, the locks engraved with V.F./PARIS and crossed keys emblem
