A Louis XVI style ormolu-mounted mahogany commode
After the model by Beneman and Stockel, First quarter 20th Century
The rectangular white marble top with eared corners above egg-and-dart moulding and three frieze drawers centred by a lion mask, over a pair of panelled doors centred by a ribbon-tied roundel cast in high relief with a Bacchante and satyr putto, with scrolling foliage to each side, the interior with six mahogany-fronted drawers, the sides similary-decorated with relief roundels, the protruding front angles with stop-fluted columnar uprights and acanthus capitals, on toupie legs with fir-cone feet
