Third quarter 19th Century
The serpentine shaped top above a panelled frieze fitted with a secret spring-loaded drawer and inset with two floral-decorated oval plaques, above a quarter-divided panelled door, each section inset with a large oval plaque, the upper pair painted with a courting couple, the lower two with a bouquet of flowers, opening to an interior fitted with six plum velvet-lined drawers, the quarter-veneered panelled sides centred by a foliate mount, above a wavy apron and tapering legs terminating in scrolled acanthus sabots
