Although today an international company celebrating its centenary, Jensen's first studio was opened in April 1904 in the courtyard of 36 Bredgade, Copenhagen. By 1908 the workshop was able to boast a staff of nine, however conditions remained primitive and without technical aids - the silver still being melted in the ordinary stove also used to heat the modest premises.
