Two very similar kilims, in considerably poorer condition, have been published (Yanni Petsopoulos and Belkis Balpinar: 100 Kilims, exhibition catalogue, London, 1991, no.12; Jërg Rageth: Anatolian Kilims and Radiocarbon dating, Basel, 1999, pl.54, pp.138-9). The second of these was carbon dated to between 1671 and 1899. A third, with slightly different colouring, was in the Kirchheim Collection (E. Heinrich Kirchheim: Orient Stars, London and Stuttgart, 1993, no.85, pp.158-9). The note to that entry comments that these were probably used as sofreh, an eating cloth placed on the ground similar to a table cloth.
