拍品專文

While the mina khani field design of this rug is not unusual, it is rare to find it combined with such a good rendering of a border more frequently found in eighteenth century Caucasian weavings (Serare Yetkin: Early Caucasian Carpets in Turkey, London, 1983, p.84). The present rug is however unusually woven with a single wefted all-cotton structure, strongly indicating a West Persian attribution.
