Further details
Willis H.O'Brien (1886-1962) began a series of experimental short films using a process known as stop motion photography in 1914. From the mid 1920s he contributed some of the most amazing special effects ever seen, most notably to King Kong, (1933). A number of U.S. posters measuring 81 x 41in. (205.7 x 104.2cm.) are known to exist for this film but no other copy of the 41 x 27in. (104.2 x 68.6cm.) has surfaced before.
