Lot Essay

The interior of Wouter Paap was designed by Gerrit Th. Rietveld, circa 1930. A steel chair of the same interior is now in the Centraal Museum, Utrecht. Both the chair as the present lot are predecessors of later designs executed for Metz & Co.
