AN INSCRIBED BAMBOO WRISTREST
QING DYNASTY, 18TH/19TH CENTURY
Well carved with a boatman transporting passengers along a winding river surrounded by rocky cliffs and pine and wutong trees growing on the banks, the top right hand corner with an inscription dated to the renchen year, corresponding to either 1742 or 1802, the reverse with a lengthy inscription relating to the 'Ode to the Red Cliff', the patina of a rich honey-brown tone
