A FINE WHITE JADE HANGING VASE, COVER AND STAND
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The hu form vase is finely carved on each side of the rounded body with archaistic scrollwork including a pair of stylised confronted phoenix composed to appear as a taotie mask, above a band of upright lappets, the neck flanked by a pair of dragon loop handles joined with a long arched handle with further paired dragons at the top end, for suspension on the hardwood stand, the cover carved in the round with a coiled dragon, the semi-translucent stone of an even white tone
