Lot Essay

The Kodak Ektra camera was introduced in January 1941 and discontinued in June 1948 with around 2000 examples being made.
The Ektra II was developed by Kodak with a clockwork motor film wind (not present here) along with other minor modifications. The camera was not officially listed or marketed. At least six examples are believed to have been made in 1944 of which there are four known examples (including this one) two of which are serial numbered 7020 and 7021.
