A WELL-PRESENTED COPPER MODEL OF THE RUSSIAN 22-GUN FRIGATE EAGLE (1669)
with masts, rigging, billowing sails and pennants, Neptune figurehead, simple deck details and guns in carriages. The hull with 'planking', cannons, chain plates and deadeyes and rudder, is mounted on a single wooden column to display base within glass cover. Overall measurements -- 18¾ x 17½in. (48 x 44.5cm.)
