A WELL-PRESENTED BUILDER'S-STYLE MODEL OF THE COASTAL STEAM TUG JOFFRE (1916)
with communication masts, radio aerial, rigging, stayed anchors, anchor winch, bitts, bollards, ventilators, companionways, superstructure with wheelhouse, helm and binnacle over, deck rails, two lifeboats with bottom boards, thwarts and oars in davits, stayed funnel with safety valve extension pipe and hooter, towing gear, engine lights, steam capstan and other details. The moulded hull with planked deck, three-blade brass propeller and rudder is finished in red below the water line, black and varnish and mounted on two turned metal columns on display base with legend, removable wood-bound glazed cover. Overall measurments -- 27 x 40½in. (68.5 x 101.5cm.)
