A well-presented and detailed 1':1" scale static display model of an early 20th-century sailing and pulling lifeboat
Modelled from his own researches by H. Skelton with collapsible masts, rigging, stitched linen sails, thwarts, painted oars, rowlocks, foot plates, bilge ducts, side seats, coiled ropes and other details. The framed and planked hull with cork ends, hand rails, grab ropes, retractable keel and rudder is finished in blue, white and varnish and mounted on a detailed four-wheel hand carriage. Overall measurements -- 21 x 39in. (53 x 99cm.) Data sheet.
