A FINE EARLY 19TH CENTURY NAPOLEONIC FRENCH PRISONER-OF-WAR BONE MODEL OF A 90-GUN THIRD RATE SHIP-OF-THE-LINE
masts with yards and stun's'l booms, standing and running rigging, warrior-form figurehead, catheads, finely pierced head rails, metal anchors with bone stocks and floats, belaying rails and pins, capstan, twin stove pipes, belfry, hammock racks, well deck with balustrade, long boat, water barrels, compass boxes, companion ways, deck lights, chicken coops, and other details. The planked and pinned hull with carved main and secondary wales, gun ports with lids and guns, chain plates and deadeyes, carved stern and quarter galleries and rudder, is mounted on two bone chocks on an inlaid display board (overall restoration, some replaced parts including base). Measurements overall -- 21 x 27in. (53 x 68.5cm.)
