With a countersunk base and a waisted neck, enamelled in purplish-blue with four peony flowerheads surrounded by trailing leaves, and between greyish-aubergine-ground lappets containing and edged in further blossoms, above and below narrow chevron bands enclosing demi-florettes, a broader band of linked trailing leaves encircling the neck, short rim crack
