Lot Essay

It has not been possible to identify the topography; however it has been suggested that the rounded hill may be the Lincolnshire Wolds.

Helen Tatlock was the artist's daughter and Harriet Helen Tatlock the artist's granddaughter, it then passed to her companion Miss Muriel Bostock before entering the collection of Sir Geoffrey Harmsworth and Dr. Donald Roman whose collection of views in Lincolnshire was sold in these Rooms in November 1995.
