Lot Essay

Aldermanbury in the city of London was possibly the site of the first guildhall or castle before the establishment of the Palace of Westminster. The street of St. Mary Aldermanbury was bombed in the 2nd World War and in 1965-9 the remains of St. Mary's church were shipped to Fulton, Missouri where it was rebuilt as a memorial to Winston Churchill.
