Howgego 200; pp. 21-22: "The largest and most important London map of the eighteenth century ... it covers an area extending north to Islington, east to Limehouse, south to Kennington and west to Brompton. Its intention was to show every house with its number ... Horwood's map is of great value to students of London topography." The map bears an engraved dedication, "To the Trustees and Directors of the Phoenix Fire Office".
