the oval locket front with central glazed square compartment incorporating hair within a surround of four foiled garnet and turquoise flowerhead clusters, the border with repeated flowerhead motif and applied two colour gold flowerhead and twin leaf decoration, each flowerhead with foiled garnet centre, the front opening to reveal a painted portrait miniature of the head and shoulders of a gentleman, circa 1825.
