With curved hollow-ground single-edged blade, the back bordered on each face by a triple fuller, and each face of the forte lightly etched with the figure of a Cossack and indecipherable inscriptions, the hilt encased in silver decorated with nielloed flowers and foliated scrolls and, on the pommel, trophies of arms, in leather covered scabbard with silver mounts decorated en-suite with the hilt, and retaining its original narrow leather, silver-mounted belt (damaged)
