Decorated on the top and all four sides with landscape scenes and some figures, the hinged top enclosing a nashiji-decorated interior with a removable shelf, with brass carrying-handles, the stand with later legs, with printed paper label 'HENRY BERKELEY VISCOUNT PORTMAN 1922' and with J. J. Allen, Ltd depository label printed 'Lusia Portman' and inscribed in ink 'Ladywell', losses to the lacquer, the top, front and side panels Chinese, the legs of later date
