The rectangular twin-flap top enclosing a gilt-tooled green leather-lined interior with a hinged ratcheted book-rest and rising section with pigeon-holes and drawers, flanked by hinged flaps enclosing a mahogany well, above a simulated fluted frieze, and a fitted frieze drawer with hinged ratcheted mirror flanked by lidded wells, above a mahogany-lined frieze drawer, on square tapering legs inlaid with simulated flutes, with brass caps and castors
