Sale room notice
To clarify the catalogue entry, the chest is in the manner of Thomas Chippendale. Chippendale used the same design of bracket feet on a secretaire and tallboy supplied for Nostell Priory, Yorkshire (see C. Gilbert, The Life and Work of Thomas Chippendale, London, 1978, vol. II, figs 90 and 207).
