1949 PETRUS AND 1961 LATOUR-A-POMEROL
The following lots (368-378) were purchased by the grandfather of the current owners who was advised by a close friend of the Vandermeulen family. Unfortunately the cellar in which the bottles were kept was flooded during the 1950s resulting in the damage and loss of labels. The following lots of Petrus and Believed Petrus have identical capsules and were also stored in the same bin of the original cellar

Lot 370 has slightly corroded capsules. Labels: lot 368 very bin-soiled and one very damaged, lot 369 very bin-soiled and damaged, lot 370 one damaged and three remains of only. Vintages are not visible. Levels: lot 368 one mid/upper and one mid/low-shoulder, lot 369 one into neck and one base of neck, and lot 370 three base of neck and one upper/top-shoulder

(Wine sales only). Christie's charges a Buyer's premium calculated at 17.850% of the hammer price for each lot with a value up to €150,000. If the hammer price of a lot exceeds €150,000 then the premium for the lot is calculated at 17.850% of the first €150,000 plus 11.9% of any amount in excess of €150,000. Buyer's Premium is calculated on this basis for each lot individually.
