A Sino-Tibetan lacquered and gilt copper model of Avalokiteshvara, 18th Century
the eleven headed deity standing on a lotus base, with his principal hands in anjali mudra and the remaining radiating around him, wearing long flowing robes and celestial scarf incised with floral borders and beaded jewellery inlaid with coral and turquoise, the heads arranged in three tiers of three surmounted by two further heads, all except for the uppermost with elaborate crowns -- 25½in. (64.8cm.) high.
