An ivory puzzle ball and carved stand, 19th Century
the spherical ball carved and pierced with scrolling dragons amongst flowers, the inner sections with geometric patterns, the stand carved with a kneeling man before a further figure holding a lotus spray, below a turned shaft with a further smaller puzzle ball, the circular base pierced with dragons between shou characters and a floral apron -- 13¾in. (34.9cm.) high.
