Originating from a specialised atelier, this fascinating object was designed as a storage cabinet for various tools. Each brass drawer plaque, if not labelling specific numbers for gauges, tools or materials measurements, identifies such implements as punches, lathes, rivets, paint strippers, wood planes, try squares, brushes and pliers. As an historically functional piece, this unusual cabinet is certainly an interesting and enigmatic item of workshop furniture.
