Lot Essay

Sirio Tofanari (b.1886 - d.1969).
Born in 1886 in Florence, Sirio Tofanari specialised in sculptures of animals. Self-taught, he worked in Paris and London.
Examples of his work are contained in the permanent collectins of museums in Barcelona, Brussels, Buenos Aires, Florence and Rome.
