Lot Essay

Marie-Louise, daughter of Emperor Francis I of Austria (see lots 168 and 338) married Emperor Napoléon I as his second wife. After his exile she divorced and married Count von Neipperg and, after the Vienna Congress, became Duchess of Parma.
