GEOMETRIC PERIOD, CIRCA 8TH-7TH CENTURY B.C.
Probably Peloponnesian, with an animal grasping a smaller animal in its mouth, the larger animal, perhaps a fox, with a long cylindrical body and stubby tail projecting straight back, on four short legs bent forward at their tips, with short upraised ears, holding the smaller animal in its open mouth, its pup or prey, with similar ears and legs, and a tapering snout
