Autograph manuscript, Torre del Lago, n.d., a transcription of the first three stanzas of the medieval Latin hymn 'O gloriosa virginum' (ascr. to Venantius Fortunatus), all but the first stanza cancelled in pencil, the word 'queste' noted against the second; and eight lines from a Litany of the Virgin ('Rosa mystica salve maria Turris eburnea Turris davidica ...'), the last two added in pencil, inscribed on verso to 'Dottor Giorgio Barini', one page, 8vo;

The Tommaso di Savoia was the ship in which Mascagni sailed to Argentina in 1911 for his enormously successful tour of South America. The world premier of his tenth opera, Isabeau, took place at the Coliseo Theatre in Buenos Aires on 2 June. (2)
