The plain hoop rectangular in section, each end terminating in an open eye, joined to the flat octagonal bezel by means of the projecting pins, engraved on both sides, one with a lion in profile walking along a groundline, an inscription above and below in Greek reading, \KL\kEWN, "lion," the other with a bear in profile walking along a groundline, an inscription above and below in Greek reading, APK[T]OC, "bear," with an inscription running around the sides of the bezel with a victory blessing, reading, XAPICNIKH and IW\KF\kOPOYNTI, the hoop also inscribed, likely for the owner, reading, MONOCICH\KLQ\kAX\KL\kPIN\KL\kNBWNEINIKHCA
