A GREEK GOLD, STONE AND GLASS NECKLACE
HELLENISTIC PERIOD, CIRCA 2ND CENTURY B.C.
Composed of loop-in-loop chain with plain links threaded through beads of emerald, garnet (one missing) and striped glass, centered by a lozenge-shaped box set with mosaic glass with a geometric pattern in red, white, blue, black and turquoise, framed by cabochon garnets, one side in a circular setting, one in a drop-shaped setting, and striped glass within collars of twisted wire, a loop on each end of the necklace, now joined to a modern matching chain
